Few people are aware of how laser hair growth has become a certified, mainstream treatment for hair loss. Most people I ask assume it was invented by doctors and engineers, simply to combat the effect time has on our dear hair follicles. What really happened is a miracle. Let me explain to you how the laser has become a commonly used hair loss treatment.
The laser was first invented in 1964, and shortly after, many researchers used this great tool to conduct a whole array of fascinating experiments, including the one that gave us laser hair growth, also known as photo-biostimulation.
Andre Mester, a researcher from the Semmelweis University of Budapest, was the one who discovered the laser's remarkable abilities to boost hair growth.
He made this paramount discovery while conducting an experiment on mice, an experiment aimed at proving that cold laser light, not unlike the UV radiation our sun emits, can lead to cancer. In order to prove this he took two groups of mice, one group would be his test subjects, while the other would remain untouched, a valid control group to which he could countermeasure his results. Mester shaved all the mice and placed the test group in a cage, constantly exposing them to the laser. What happened next was incredible...
Mester noticed that the mice receiving the cold laser light were regrowing their hair much sooner than the mice in the control group. None of the animals developed cancer either, which was a big plus. In fact, there are no side effects to laser hair growth treatment, none!
Nowadays many people use low level lasers to treat baldness. This works as ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) converts to ADP (Adenosine Diphosphate), causing metablolic changes in the hair cells and dispersing energy into them. In this process, other key nutrients for healthy hair are provided to the scalp, oxygen among them. Along with increased blood flow, laser hair growth treatment has been said to generate faster growing hair, increase the diameter of hair shafts and improve the overall quality of hair.
Laser hair growth products include the following:
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)- This is general term given to any form of non-intrusive phototherapy.
Laser Comb - A hand held device you to administer additional photo-biostimulation. This treatment helps improve the results obtained through in-office laser hair growth treatments given by specialists.
Additionally, there has been some encouraging evidence when combining laser hair growth treatments with 5% Minoxidil, the key active ingredient in Rogaine, the first FDA approved drug for hair loss.
This form of treatment is definitely something to consider if you have encountered hair loss. It is non intrusive and as said above, has no side effects what so ever.

  4. Low level laser therapy is one of the good way for growing hairs naturally. Low Level Laser Photons irradiate the entire scalp increasing microcirculation of blood supplies to the hair follicles. Hair Follicles, which are not dead can often be rehabilitated.
